A moving day with us, hour by hour

  1. The night before

    We call to confirm.

    You’ll hear from us before the truck ever starts: the time, the address, and anything that’s changed.

  2. 8:00 a.m.

    8:00 means 8:00.

    If we say eight, the truck is at your door at eight, carrying blankets, dollies, straps and tools. If we’re ever running behind, you’ll get a call.

  3. 8:10 a.m.

    A walk-through, then we start.

    We look at every room first. You get a plan and an honest idea of how long it’ll take.

  4. 9:30 a.m.

    Everything gets wrapped.

    Blankets on the furniture, straps on the load. Whatever comes apart, we take apart, and we put it back together at the other end.

  5. 11:15 a.m.

    Bring on the awkward stuff.

    Three flights with a dead elevator. A piano. An eight-foot Bird of Paradise. We’ve carried all of it, and it got there in one piece.

  6. 1:00 p.m.

    Door down. Off we go.

    You’ll know where the truck is and when to expect it, whether it’s across town or over the pass.

  7. Supper time

    Home by supper.

    Everything lands in the room you point at. Beds go back together. Pay by e-transfer or card, and go order a pizza.
