Movers for Okanagan Falls and the east side of Skaha Lake
The falls were blasted out for flood control in the 1950s, the town kept the name, and in November 2026 it got its own council. You’ll find OK Falls at the south end of Skaha Lake, about 20 minutes from our yard.
Level ground, for once

- South on Highway 97, through Kaleden
Okanagan Falls is one of the easier towns in the valley to move in. Most of it is on level ground where the river leaves Skaha Lake, so a truck can usually get near the door. When you’re paying by the hour, that counts for a lot. Mention any narrow basement stairs when you call, and a move here can be a short day.
Up the east shore it’s not so simple. Skaha Estates, Heritage Hills and Lakeshore Highlands are on sloped lots off Eastside Road, with the views and the driveways that go with them. Say which side of the lake you’re on when you call, because walk-out basements and long side paths add time.
Two ways down from Penticton
- Kaleden
- Downtown OK Falls
- Skaha Estates
- Heritage Hills
- Lakeshore Highlands
Highway 97 through Kaleden is our normal run, 21 km from the yard, and most of these moves have no travel fee. Eastside Road comes down the other shore and is how we reach the hillside subdivisions. When a crash closes the highway near Kaleden, it’s also the way around.
One Penticton to OK Falls move we did came with tricky building rules. If your place has move-in hours or an elevator to book, send them along and we’ll work to them.
I hired Junk in the Trunk for a move from Penticton to OK Falls and was very happy with the service. The price was reasonable, and the crew was efficient, careful with my stuff, and good natured about some challenges with the building rules. Everyone involved was friendly and easy to work with and made the move go so smoothly, I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again.
Reno leftovers and garage loads
Reno debris is priced differently from household junk: heavy loads like concrete, dirt and brick go by weight. If you’d rather take a mixed construction load to the Okanagan Falls Landfill yourself, check with the RDOS first, since those loads have their own rules there.
- Is Okanagan Falls inside your no-travel-fee area?
- Usually, yes. Junk In The Trunk is a family moving company in Penticton, about 20 minutes from Okanagan Falls on Highway 97, and most moves there have no travel fee.
- Do your movers cover Heritage Hills and the east side of Skaha Lake?
- Yes. We move people in Skaha Estates, Heritage Hills and Lakeshore Highlands as well as in OK Falls itself. Those lots are sloped, so describe your driveway and any stairs when you ask for a quote.
- Have you moved people from Penticton to OK Falls before?
- Yes, including a move with tricky building rules to work around. Send us your building’s rules ahead of time and we’ll follow them on the Penticton to OK Falls run.
