Senior moving in Penticton, at a pace that suits you.

A worn plaid armchair with a knitted blanket beside a corner window, a mug and reading glasses on the side table, and the lake and vineyards outside

Leaving a home you’ve lived in for forty years is a big day. We take our time with it, and we don’t leave until the new place feels like yours.

A moving box on a table by the window, open to show old books and a bundle of letters tied with string

What we do differently

We go through the move with you before the truck comes: what’s going, what isn’t, and where it all goes in the new place. On the day we work at your speed. If you’d like to sit down, sit down. We’ll keep going.

At the other end, we put the bed together, set the furniture where you want it, and move it again if it doesn’t look right.

The truck’s here. All done. CALGARY, AB VANCOUVER, BC Jeremy Penticton, BC

For sons and daughters arranging it from away

A lot of our senior moves are booked by family in Calgary or Vancouver. Call Jeremy, tell him the situation, and he’ll deal with you directly. We’ll call or text you when the truck arrives and when we’re done, and you can pay by e-transfer from wherever you are.

When it won’t all fit

A two-bedroom suite won’t hold a four-bedroom house. Good furniture that doesn’t make the cut can go to our thrift store, where 5% of every sale goes to the Salvation Army Food Bank. The rest we can haul away on the same trip, so nobody has to come back to deal with it.

Moving into a retirement residence

Residences like The Concorde, Athens Creek and Charles Manor have their own rules on elevators and move-in times. Ask the office when your date is settled, tell us what they said, and we’ll work around it.

A retirement suite already set up: a quilted bed, family photographs on the wall, a lamp on, and a wing chair by the window over the lake

Beds go back together and furniture goes where it’s wanted

Questions we get.

Can you help my mother pack?

Yes. We can box up the kitchen, the china cabinet or the whole home, and label it by room so unpacking is easier. Tell Jeremy what you need when you call.

Can I arrange the move from out of town?

Yes. Many of our senior moves are booked by family living elsewhere. We’ll keep you updated by phone or text, and you can pay by e-transfer.

Will you set up the furniture in the new suite?

Yes. Beds go back together and furniture goes where it’s wanted. We don’t leave a pile in the middle of the room.

What happens to the things that don’t fit?

Good pieces can go to our thrift store, and we can haul away the rest on the same day. If it’s a whole house of contents, see our estate cleanouts page.

These guys really work hard!!!They were extremely kind to the lady moving and helped with set up. Thanks so much.
