Moving to Keremeos, Cawston or anywhere along the Similkameen
Keremeos is one range of hills away from Penticton, over Yellow Lake on Highway 3A and down into the Similkameen under K Mountain. In this valley the road is usually a bigger question than the stairs.

Highway 3A leaves Highway 97 at Kaleden and climbs past Yellow Lake, about 780 m up, before it drops to the Similkameen River. In winter that top stretch can be snow and ice on a day when Penticton is only wet, and rock has closed this road before. We watch it from the first snowfall on, and if the morning looks doubtful we’ll phone the night before.
Down in the valley the ground levels out, with orchards, farmhouses and long lanes behind the fruit stands. The house is often the easy part. A packing shed or a shop with 30 years in it takes longer, so walk us through the whole property when you call.
Penticton to Keremeos, sometimes the same day
Not every job here is a whole house. A local delivery company once sent a customer our way with appliances to get from Penticton to Keremeos, and we had them there the same day. That kind of run is often possible, depending on the schedule.
Cawston is just past Keremeos, Olalla is on the way in, and Hedley is up Highway 3 toward Princeton. A travel fee may apply to any of them, and you’ll see it in your quote. Keremeos calls itself the fruit stand capital of Canada, which explains the peaches on the dash.

Was referred from a local delivery company to try Jeremy out for a delivery of some appliances from Penticton to Keremeos. He had it done same day!! I can’t thank him enough. His crew were very respectful and kind. Easy communication and payment. I will most definitely call them again if we need anything moved or delivered.
More than the transfer station takes
The Keremeos Transfer Station isn’t a landfill. It takes limited materials on limited days, so check the list and the hours with the RDOS before you load up. A bigger cleanout is something we can haul, and good pieces go to our thrift store back in Penticton.
- Will movers from Penticton come out to Keremeos and Cawston?
- We will. Keremeos is about 50 minutes from our Penticton yard by Highway 3A, and Cawston is just past it. A travel fee may apply, and it’s quoted up front with the hourly rate.
- Can you deliver appliances from Penticton to Keremeos?
- Yes. Junk In The Trunk has delivered appliances from Penticton to Keremeos the same day, and that’s often possible depending on the schedule. Give us the pickup address and what needs moving, and we’ll tell you when we can do it.
- What if Highway 3A is snowy on my moving day?
- We watch Yellow Lake closely in winter, because the top of Highway 3A can be icy when the valleys aren’t. If the road isn’t safe for a loaded truck, you’ll get a call and a new date.
Walk us through the whole property.
Jeremy usually gets back to you within the hour.
